The Junior Captain Ted Wyborn is taking on the challenge of doing 100 holes of golf in one day on Monday 21st July. As his granddad has vascular dementia he wants to raise money for the Captain’s charity which is Alzheimers.
If you would like to help Ted to be successful and spur him on then you can do this in the following ways:
1) Sponsor him on the Just Giving site which Rose Saunders has set up: http://www.justgiving.com/page/ted-wyborn-2
2) If you are playing on that day, please allow him through as quickly as possible. Any delay will seriously affect his success. A buggy will be with him and will warn players in front of his approach.
3) We need a small team of marshals to help his progress and support him by driving the support buggy throughout the 16 hours it will probably take. Please let Rose Saunders know if you are willing to help in this way. Send an email to juniors@ulverstongolf.co.uk.
4) The tee has been booked giving him 3 hours to complete a round plus rests. However, if he is blocked coming through this could take him longer, so please give him courtesy on the tee should this happen. He will not hold you up for long.
5) Support him out on the course either by following him for some holes or being at the 18th green and 1st tee to cheer him on.
The Management Board give their full support, wish him the best of luck in his quest and the Captain is really pleased he is doing this for the Alzheimers’ charity.
