Select Hole:

11th Hole – “Scafell”

Course Description

The long par five offers wonderful views of Ulverston nestling below the fells and the mountains at the rear. Bunkers on the left threaten the drive and for the longer hitter an avenue of trees can catch the wayward shot. A good long drive can often be rewarded with an opportunity to putt for birdie, or even eagle but strategically placed bunkers protecting the green often cause trouble.

Pro tip

“A blind tee shot faces you on the 11th from the back tee. The trees on the right are in reach from the tee for the longer golfer, so aim your ball left of the marker post so you don’t run out of fairway. A good tee shot leaves a decent birdie opportunity, but a ball struggling to the front edge of the green will feed down into the left bunker.”
